Scott A. Tacktill received his undergraduate degree from Babson College (B.S. 1990), and his law degree and graduate business degree from the University of Florida (J.D. 1994; M.B.A. 1998). While in law school, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Florida Journal of International Law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tacktill served as a judicial staff attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Mr. Tacktill’s practice includes a broad spectrum of civil matters with an emphasis on medical malpractice and nursing home defense, general civil litigation, appellate proceedings, employment matters, and business and commercial transactions. He is a member of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida.
Mr. Tacktill is a member of the faculty of Barry University School of Law, an American Bar Association accredited law school in Orlando. As an adjunct professor, he teaches a variety of courses, including those designed to provide law students with the skills they will need for effective advocacy at the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Tacktill currently serves as the firm’s managing partner.
