Christopher C. Gilbert earned his undergraduate degree in 1994 from the University of Florida, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and graduating with honors. He also received a double minor in both English and East Asian Languages. Upon graduating from the University of Florida, Mr. Gilbert spent one year employed at the Palm Beach County Public Defender's Office, providing social services and legal information to criminal defendants awaiting trial.
Mr. Gilbert received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1998 from the Georgetown University Law Center. While at Georgetown, he was a member of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. Thereafter he worked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in its Staff Attorney's Office. He was employed at the Eleventh Circuit for more than three years and worked with all of the judges on the Court in resolving various legal issues brought on appeal.
