W. Cleveland "Cleve" Acree, II, has specialized in the defense of the medical profession during his twenty plus year legal career, and has represented physicians of all specialties, as well as various hospitals and other health care professionals. In additional to his focus on professional liability litigation, he also has extensive experience in defending various corporate clients in product, commercial, premises and general liability actions in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Acree, a life-long resident of Florida, was born in Lake Wales in 1959. He moved to Orlando in 1979 to attend the University of Central Florida, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982. He thereafter attended St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida where he received his Juris Doctorate degree with honors in 1987. He returned to Orlando in 1988 where he began his practice of law.
In light of the considerable geographic reach of his practice, Mr. Acree represents clients throughout Northern and Central Florida and has tried cases throughout Florida in both state and federal courts. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern districts of Florida.
During his legal practice, Mr. Acree has also participated in various pro bono projects. He received an Award of Excellence in 1994 from the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. for his work as a Guardian Ad Litem representing children who had been removed from homes as a result of abuse or neglect.
